Which is more fiscally responsible, Rep or Democrat?

If you want fiscal responsibility, there is only 1 party to vote for. See the 3 Reasons below.

REASON 1:
http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2008/10/14/opinion/20081014_OPCHART.html?ei=5070&emc

$10,000 invested in 1929, if you only invested during the time when either a Republican or Democrat was in office, this is what it would be worth today:

Republican = $11,733 (?% who cares, it sucks in 40 yrs I make $1k?)
Democrat = $300,671 (8.9% growth)

As of Friday, a $10,000 investment in the S.& P. stock market index* would have grown to $11,733 if invested under Republican presidents only, although that would be $51,211 if we exclude Herbert Hoover’s presidency during the Great Depression. Invested under Democratic presidents only, $10,000 would have grown to $300,671 at a compound rate of 8.9 percent over nearly 40 years

REASON 2:
http://www.cedarcomm.com/~stevelm1/usdebt.htm

Since 1946, the parties increased the national debt at an average of:

Republican = 9.2% / year
Democrat = 3.2% / year

Republican Presidents out borrowed and spent Democratic presidents by a three to one ratio. Putting that in very real terms; for every dollar a Democratic president has raised the national debt in the past 63 years Republican presidents have raised the debt by $2.84

Prior to the Neo-Conservative takeover of the Republican Party there was not much difference between the two parties’ debt philosophy. They both worked together to minimize it. However the debt has been on a steady incline ever since the Reagan presidency. The only exception to the steep increase over the last 30 years was during the Clinton presidency, when he brought spending under control and the debt growth down to almost zero.

REASON 3:
Warren Buffet = democrat.

He was born & bred from Omaha Nebraska, a red state. I follow him when I am unsure.
Often called the "Oracle of Omaha",[4] Buffett is noted for his adherence to the value investing philosophy and for his personal frugality despite his immense wealth.

............ if you are still convinced to vote Republican, then please also send me a check for the total amount in your 401k, since you'll be losing it anyway. You may want to start networking, since you are more likely to lose your job. Make sure to educate your kids though, because they are going to need to make more money due to your poor decisions; enough to pay for your retirement, the added Gov Debt you gave them, and still have enough for their retirement. Wow you are pretty cold, heartless SOB.

Dem vs Rep, S&P500 returns during their presidency

Bloomberg Article:
http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601039&sid=attZrqehx.3Y&refer=home
According to the New York Times, which ran the numbers and a graphic on Oct. 14, the Standard & Poor's 500 Index has outperformed under a Democratic administration, with average annual returns of 8.9 percent compared with 0.4 percent under the GOP. Even excluding Herbert Hoover, the Dems win hands down.

Bl: Voter Fraud

When one party as an institution manipulates votes. I'd call that unethical, unamerican, undemocratic. Cheating? Sure, it also throws sand into the face of anyone who thinks we are a true democracy.

This is the Republican party. They have thousands of instances of party organized voter fraud. I have never heard of a single instance of the democratic party doing the same.

Sure, a few independant democrat voters choose to manipulate votes. There is a HUGE difference between the two: the unethical Republican party VS a few unethical individuals. Big difference.

Sarah Palin's honest and sound economics as a way of life

Another case of a republican cutting spending, yipee.
How? Easy, make the state pay for it.
You didnt think I meant cutting state spending? haha, this is a republican.

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/10/21/palin.travel.ap/index.html?iref=mpstoryview

In October 2007, Palin brought daughter Bristol along on a trip to New York for a women's leadership conference. Plane tickets from Anchorage to La Guardia Airport for $1,385.11 were billed to the state, records show, and mother and daughter shared a room for four nights at the $707.29-per-night Essex House hotel, which overlooks Central Park.
....
The state is already reviewing nearly $17,000 in per diem payments to Palin for more than 300 nights she slept at her own home, 40 miles from her satellite office in Anchorage.

Tony Knowles, a Democratic former governor of Alaska who lost to Palin in a 2006 bid to reclaim the job, said he never charged the state for his three children's commercial flights and did not claim their travel as official state business.
.....
In addition to the commercial flights, the children have traveled dozens of times with Palin on a state plane. For these flights, the total cost of operating the plane, at $971 an hour, was about $55,000, according to state flight logs. The cost of operating the state plane does not increase when the children join their mother
....
The Palins began charging the state for commercial flights after the governor kept a 2006 campaign promise to sell a jet bought by her predecessor.

Palin put the jet up for sale on eBay, a move she later trumpeted in her speech at the Republican National Convention, and it was ultimately sold by the state at a loss.

That left only one high-performance aircraft deemed safe enough for her to use -- a 1980 twin-engine King Air assigned to the public safety agency but, according to flight logs, out of service for maintenance and repairs about a third of the time Palin has been governor.

SARAH PALIN (more info than I wanted to know) aka lie cheat steal, and never go to jail, it is all good when you are republican.

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/07/opinion/07rich.html?hp
Everytime I get into these Rep reading binges, I always regret it. I am ok with people making idiot decisions, as long as they are willing to be honest about it if called out.

I know it is hard to admit when I f-up. Problem is that Republicans never admit it.

Wait, this sounds familiar. Oh yeah, it is the same thing the Catholic Church does when handling pedofiles.

John McCain from the early years

It is hard to watch the daily show & come to a conclusion other than: republicans are the epitome of non-thinking. It must be nice to live with that type of ignorance and irresponsibility.

http://www.thedailyshow.com/full-episodes/index.jhtml?episodeId=184108

The video of John McCain from the early years is ingenious and horrible.

nobody does it like the Daily Show

I wish there was a show that could do this and make the Republicans look good. But unfortunately uncovering evil is evil.

Karl Rove protests

http://video.nbc4.com/player/?id=87850
Karl is plain evil. Americans protesting him are heros. I dont have the guts to do that. Fewer people do. I havent seen real protests since the 60s. I bet if this was the 60s, it would have been thousands of people out there.

75% blame Bush's policies for deteriorating economy

http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-poll26-2008jun26,1,6337327.story

60% of republidoits say bush isnt doing enough either. One guy says "I am a proud republican, but this guy just plain sucks. I might vote for the team, but when the team loses every game for 8 years. It is time to change something."

NYT: Running on Empty

Great interview, interesting how I can agree with Republicans who follow the logic this guy talks about.

Bush, golfing 2 months after he said he'd given up golf out of respect for the war

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/05/16/bush-lied-about-giving-up_n_102138.html

I wish I knew why why Bush's advisors create these circus distractions. I cant believe a president does and says this. It seems like it belongs in another reality. This makes Britney Spears look good.

I cant believe a president says he gives up golf. It is insulting. I give up clam chowder out of disdain for his entire organization.

And Repbulicans still say they hate Clinton for his lack of values, and lying. I understand lying about sex. I dont understand lying and killing thousands of Americans and continuing the lie 6 years. I would not be able to live with myself, knowing I am personally responsible for saying "yes" to killing innocent Iraqis and Americans and havent done one thing to get out of the situation.
